BIGJOHN PHOTOS & OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
Big Ivy refers to a kidney-shaped region in the Craggy Gardens of the Pisgah national forest that forms the headwaters of the Ivy River. This is a dense, cove-hardwood forest with fast-flowing streams, numerous waterfalls, and areas of old-growth forest. On this trip we arrived right after and during some heavy rain.
