This is the single most famous, most respected, and most competitive creek race on the planet, the annual Green Race kayak race is held each Fall on the steepest section of western North Carolina's Green River Narrows. The hike into the Green River Gorge is several miles (depending on where you park) with the final decent being 666' strait down to the rapids!
