Lake Tugalo & the Chattooga River 6-20-09 : A day kayak trip on Lake Tugalo and the mighty Chatooga river. We portaged up the last shoals of the river and hiked up up Opossum creek falls. It was a good day to be outdoors but not for Photography. The last few pics are the start of some high definition video experiments.

Landsford Canal & Chester State Park S.C. 6-5-09 : This Gallery is a day trip to the Great Catawba River @ landsford Canal State Park. The river was at flood stage and we were unable to make the run. We did have a nice hike and then visted Chester State park and it's beautiful lake for some paddling. It was a good day to be outdoors!

Merchants Millpond & Dismal Swamp State Park 3-20-09 : This was an early morning trip to Merchants Millpond State Park, one of North Carolina's rarest ecological communities, is a unique mingling of coastal pond and southern swamp forest. A wide variety of plant and animal life offer an excellent natural experience. Towering bald cypress with massive trunks, tupelo gum trees draped in luxuriant Spanish moss, and Resurrection ferns dominate the 760 acre millpond. At the end of the day I stoped by Dismal Swamp to plan a future trip. The Music for the WMV is by William Orbit (silent signals) one of my favorites!

Jocassee trip 8-16-08 ( The last of the Whitewater Falls Cascades) Moondance falls! : This was a Saturday trip to Lake Jocassee with with our good friends Joe & April. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by thunder & Lighting. Joe and i made a quick trip up the whitewater river area of the lake and i hiked up to view the lowest of the whitewater rivers cascades. Moondance falls? :) We then got caught in a mild thunderstorm and swam in the rain for the rest of the day.

Congaree Swamp National Park (Cedar Creek Canoe Trail) 3-9-08 : This is a trip down the Cedar Creek trail in the Congaree Swamp National park. The Skeeter meter was low and the temps climbed in to the high 50's after an early am frost. It was a four hour trip with bright blue skies that made for nice paddling but washed out the pictures. it was a good day.
